Everyone is Pitching in at Children’s Institute

An email from Alicia at Children’s Institute just arrived in our inbox:

Just wanted to let everyone know that the boxes are pouring in and it’s been a delight to unpack everything and see all of the great books everyone has donated!

I’m attaching a photo of some of our “library assistants” who enjoy helping me on Library Day by scanning their own books.  A major core of our library patrons are preschoolers with Spanish-speaking parents so I really appreciate the focus people have given to the preschool and bilingual books.

Our preschoolers are drawing in their older and younger siblings who are developing specific tastes in books like the Goosebumps and American Girl series that you have been graciously sending to us as well!

Tomorrow is Library Day so I will be able to provide more photographic updates soon.  We took some funny photos of the piles of amazon boxes but now I think we’ve misplaced the camera (it must be under one of these piles….).

Thank you again for all that you are doing!

Sincerely,
Alicia the Librarian

Way to go everyone! Gooooooo Dewey!
